Craig Moreau
A Virtual Cycle
Recall Colorado, an open-seat race
between ceremonial coal and climate,
where breakfast prayer is something
you share with your neighbors. Throw
money at the wall. Seal the southern
border, the northern border, temper
our Pitch-Fork Politics as rhetorical violence.
Our community oriented past emerges
imagined on the streets.
Recall, Colorado, an obsessive-destructive
mixture of soft-core and forest-floor, blue
herons flying under the blood-moon, dehydrating
Philosophers say, “Heaven is here!” My goodness,
Goldfinch, this is all yours, but I’m sorry
I’m all booked.
