Randi Ward

Swarm

Rain
and rising mist
when he shakes
bees
from their bustling
limb.

Casket

Sour smell of dying
flowers filling
the living
room--
close this evening.

Telling the Bees

The service is today.
They’re fighting
over the flowers.
Fly, fly away!
