 All Good Here

Just the standard makeshift hazards of learning
the days of the week. On Wednesday, all our bones
remained intact. Another liberation day comes--
Bella Ciao is in a commercial now. It’s an election year.
That’s mommy’s angry face reminds me I am no good
at hiding the good old days. Since I’ve started measuring
time in azaleas, the buds are exasperating. I keep chewing
toss around not eating chicken again. I learn things
like how many organs we can live without. Tomorrow will
be the last cool morning. We’ll put the air conditioners in.
The season for open windows is short.
