Alessandra Bava

Landscape with Muse
(An Aria)

 To painter Andrew Wyeth
& Helga Testorf

Let’s say he
  was candidly smitten.
  As many portraits as Goldberg
  variations. An opalescent, delectable
gaze, the purest backbone, tresses like
  sparks and mighty, mercurial thighs.
Your body is a quill. Your body is
  topography. Your body, Helga,
  is a stern Pennsylvanian
    landscape on a
merry day.
