Ambition: Untamed
I want to sing, but
don’t sorrow stifles tunes
I want to dance within
each soft exploding blossom
Leave my pollen covered toes
bold loving bold and wild
Let racing rats run their course
The gold ring isn’t love
Ah but it is a waste
I know there is something greater
deeper, within anonymity
and why try to show the world a thing
when it doesn’t matter?
See the way the honeysuckle
preached ambition to the tree
where the bird that matters in the first place
sings of bold on thistles even
through feathers of day, talons of night.
